A Boeing partner company has been selected by the RSAF to provide maintenance to its C-130 fleet.
Alsalam Aircraft, a partner of the Boeing Company, has been selected by the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) to provide programmed depot maintenance (PDM) for its fleet of C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.
Under the terms of the $29 million (£17 million) contract, Alsalam will provide repairs, inspections, maintenance, modifications and repainting work for 50 C-130s at its Saudi Arabian facility.
The company is already responsible for providing through-life support for the RSAF fleet of F-15 Eagle fighter C/D/S variants, AH-64 Apache helicopters and E-3A Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft.
"We are honoured to have this contract," said Mohammed Fallatah, president and chief executive of Alsalam.
"Through our highly skilled work force and excellent facilities, we will provide the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with efficient and timely PDM support for its C-130s."
Recently, Lockheed Martin announced that it has received a $394 million (£225 million) order from the State of Qatar for four C-130J Super Hercules airlifters and aftermarket services. |
