BVR Systems has announced a contract to provide a Trainer Aircraft Full Mission Simulator to an international customer.
Military simulation specialist BVR Systems has announced that it won a contract worth $4.95 million (£2.5 million) to provide an international customer with a Trainer Aircraft Full Mission Simulator (FMS).
The FMS enables accurate modeling and simulation of mission scenarios and provides tactical training and instruction to both novice and experience pilots. It consists of a single-seat simulator cockpit, a visual display and an Instructor Operation Station.
Advanced capabilities include high end own-ship simulation as well as the simulation of weapons and advanced computer generated forces. It can also be networked to other simulators allowing for distributed mission training.
"We are very proud to have been awarded this Simulator contract. The design and architecture of the Simulator is based upon BVR's proven experience in flight simulators for trainer aircraft accumulated over the past decade," said Ilan Gillies, chief executive of BVR Systems.
"BVR is unique in its field proven ability to deliver high end Live and Virtual training systems and to allow the interconnection between the domains."
Last year, the company received a large contract from the Asian Air Force for the provision of a special Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (CMI) system.
