A $1.67 million purchase order has been placed with CPI Aerostructures.
CPI Aerostructures has revealed that it has received a purchase order for the production of aircraft structural assemblies initially worth $1.67 million.
In an announcement made yesterday (October 15th), the company revealed that the order has come from a "leading global aerospace and defence company".
At present, the ordering period runs from 2009 to 2011 and contains three one-year options.
CPI Aero explained in a statement that the maximum value for the contract is "approximately $8.39 million".
Edward J Fred, CPI Aero's chief executive, commented: "We are extremely proud that our past performance has reinforced this customer's confidence in CPI Aero, confirmed by this order and options, to manufacture these assemblies for the next four years."
CPI Aero revealed that the same customer has previously placed four assembly orders and at present it is completing a contract awarded in July last year.
It is expected that deliveries for this "follow-on program" will start in the first half of 2009 and be completed before the end of the year. |
