Embraer delivers its 400th E-Jet |

Republic Airlines is the recipient of the 400th E-Jet to have been delivered by Embraer since it started building aircraft in 1969.
Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has delivered its 400th E-Jet this week, an Embraer-175 ordered by Republic Airways Holdings, owner of US Airways Express, a regional airline in the United States.
The jet has a single-class interior and is capable of seating up to 85 passengers. The 400th E-Jet was delivered less than eight months after the 300th Embraer jet was delivered, in October 2007.
Frederico Fleury Curado, president of Embraer, said: "The delivery of the 400th E-Jet confirms the outstanding worldwide reception given to this aircraft family, and we are proud that it is going to our good friends at Republic Airways Holdings.
"Our drive for customer satisfaction and the cutting-edge design and performance of our products have repeatedly brought airlines back to increase their orders and convert their options, in eloquent testimony that Embraer is on the right track."
Republic Airways is the largest E-Jet operator in the world, with 110 aircraft from the manufacturer spread across its US Airways Express, United Expressand Delta Connection brands, including 76 E-170s and 34 E-175s.
Earlier this month, Embraer delivered its first E-195 Jet to Montenegro Airlines, the manufacturer's first customer in the Balkans.
