Embraer signs service contract with Aeromexico
Tuesday, 26 August 2008

Aeromexico Connect has signed a long-term parts pool programme services contract to support its fleet.

Embraer and Aeromexico Connect have announced the signing of a long-term parts pool programme services contract to support the airline's growing fleet of ERJ 145 and Embraer 190 jets.

The aftermarket services contract covers more than 500 unique parts used for the two Embraer aircraft models and also includes maintenance and landing gear overhauls for the ERJ 145s.

With the agreement, Aeromexico Connect becomes Embraer's largest Latin American customer in the parts pool programme.

"We are proud to have been entrusted by Aeromexico Connect to provide such a critical service to their operation," said John Linn, Embraer vice-president for customer support and services in north America and Caribbean.

"With this contract, the airline shows a high level of confidence in the reliability and availability of our parts pool program for their fleet."

Last month, the company announced that Dublin-based aviation firm JetBird has exercised three preexisting options for the Phenom 100 business jet, taking the airline's firm order backlog for this model to 53 aircraft.

The Irish carrier placed an initial order for 50 Phenom 100s in May 2006 with options for 50 more. First delivery is expected in 2009.ADNFCR-1516-ID-18747827-ADNFCR
