Boeing has delivered to 777-class jets to Dubai-based airline Emirates.
The Boeing Company has announced the delivery of two 777-class jetliners to Emirates Airlines, a 777-300ER (extended range) and a 777-200LR (long range).
The new planes are the 62nd and 63rd 777 jet aircrafts to come under the ownership of Emirate, which is one of the largest operators of twin-engine planes in the world.
Delivered to Dubai, the planes make up the first double 777 delivery to a Boeing customer situated in the Middle East.
Some 56 airline customers have ordered a combined total of 1,092 777s from Boeing to date. The aviation firm has more than 355 unfilled orders, estimated to be worth more than $91 billion (£50 billion) at current list prices.
Earlier this month, Boeing announced an order for two 777-300ERs from EgyptAir as part of the airline's long-haul service fleet upgrade.
Worth $529 million (£293 billion) at current list prices, the order follows the official induction of EgyptAir into the Star Alliance in July. In celebration, the airline expanded its network to 1,624 weekly flights to 69 destinations around the globe.
