New Challenger 300 enters into service
Monday, 06 October 2008

The first Bombardier Challenger 300 aircraft delivered to Xojet has entered into active service.

Bombardier Aerospace has announced that Xojet's first Challenger 300 aircraft has now entered into service.

The jet is one of 20 Challenger 300s that Xojet ordered at the NBAA 2007 civil aviation trade show, as well as options for 60 more. So far, Xojet has converted four of these additional options into firm orders.

Bob Horner, senior vice-president of sales for Bombardier's business aircraft division, said: "This business jet is the benchmark for performance, reliability and cabin comfort in the super mid-size category.

"It is a true mark of confidence that XOJET has selected to invest in this amazing aircraft and today we share their excitement in welcoming their first Challenger 300 jet into service."

Xojet is one of the world's largest private aviation companies and is currently embarking upon a $2.5 billion (£1.4 billion) fleet expansion programme.

Earlier this month, Porter Airlines announced that it has ordered two 70-seat Bombardier Q400 turboprop airliners, converting existing options.

The aircraft will be the 17th and 18th Q400s in Porter's fleet, following an initial contract for ten firm and ten options signed in 2006.ADNFCR-1516-ID-18812422-ADNFCR
