Northrop Grumman is to provide the US Air Force with a pod designed to improve the electronic countermeasures of its warfighters.
Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has been awarded with a lucrative contract from the US Air Force for the provision of engineering services to the 542nd Combat Sustainment Group in the state of Georgia.
The aerospace and defence company will work on an electronic countermeasures pod concept aimed at improving operational capabilities and improving sustainability.
NGC will receive $4 million (£2.3 million) over two years to support their efforts.
"Our team was selected
because of our excellent long-standing performance record supporting our customer," said Kevin Benoit, technical services programme manager at NGC.
"We're excited to provide the warfighter with a critical capability update while also maintaining our role as the life-cycle support organisation of choice for these pods."
NGC is currently working to provide maintenance and operations support to the MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. |
