Synergy Aerospace has placed a firm order for a Bombardier Learjet 85.
Aircraft manufacturer Bombardier has announced reception of a firm order from Columbian firm Synergy Aerospace for a Learjet 85 aircraft.
Launched in October 2007, the new Learjet 85 aircraft will be the first Bombardier jet to feature a fully composite structure in addition to being first business jet of its kind designed for type certification under the US FAA.
Fabio Rebello, regional vice-president of Latin American sales at Bombardier's business division, said: "This order reflects the growing excitement around our new Learjet 85 program in Latin America and worldwide.
"The Learjet 85 is the latest example of how the evolving Learjet aircraft family is well suited to respond to the changing need of
operators."
The Learjet 85 is powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307B engines, which provide extra take-off thrust and reduced environmental impact. It has a high-speed cruise of mach 0.82 and a range of up to 5,556 km.
Last month, Canadian operator London Air Services (LAS) placed a firm order for five Learjet 85 aircraft. LAS is the first Canadian customer to order Bombardier's new Challenger 605 and the launch customer of the company's new Global Vision Flight Deck. |
